Certification Testing Standards.
1. VOC levels (Volatile Organic Compounds)Paints with low or no VOC’s are certifiable.
2. Contrast Ratio (Opacity)
Paints with better opacity means less coats therefore less VOC exposure.
3. Y-Reflectance
Paints with opacity are tested at same brightness levels.
4. Washability
Paint film must be washable with green cleaners.
5. Odor
Low Odor Paints offer reduction of eye, nose and throat irritations.
6. Prohibited Compounds.
Paints will not contain known harmful chemicals.
These products are certified by Coatings Research Group, Incorporated to meet environmentally
determined performance standards established by CRGI’s ISO-accredited facility for specific product types
and to meet or exceed the VOC requirements of LEED® for most paint and coatings applications.
These products are environmentally preferred over traditional paints and coatings applications.
